Campbell's Dwarf Hamsters Enjoying Sand Bath
The females and their mother enjoyed a sand bath today. Sand baths help keep the coat soft and free of oil. I use Chinchilla bath sand.

Adopted Russian Campbell's Dwarf Hamster
This is Panini, my late adopted dwarf hamster. She came to us when she was already a couple years old and had a large mammary tumor. We only had her for a short time, but we were did our best to give her a comfortable, happy home. She spent her last remaining days in a 4 foot long tank with plenty of toys, food, and love.

Dark Beige Russian Campbell's Dwarf Hamster male
Here's a photo of the father of the babies I have currently available. I took this picture of his belly to show off his color. As you can see, he is not just a regular beige or argente. He carries all four Campbell's Dwarf color genes, including opal (dd), but is showing red eyed argente (pp), black eyed argente (pp), and black (aa).
He's very friendly and healthy, just like his babies. He even gets along well with his sons that he never met until they were a month old. He allowed them to live with him and accepted them immediately.

A couple years ago I took a break from Campbell's and bred Roborovski's. Here is a cute picture of the Roborovski pups drinking out of a water dish.

Campbell's Dwarf Hamsters Available Now!
Felicia's Philadelphia Hamstery has several adorable fancy Campbell's Dwarf hamsters available right now. These babies were born on May 1st and have been handled since their eyes opened.
It is possible that each is carrying all four Campbell's color genes. The mother is (aa dd) silvering blue, a combination of black and opal genes, and the father is (aa bb pp DD) red eyed dark beige, a combination of black, argente, and red eyed argente. He also carries a single opal gene, which became evident when most of his offspring were blue. The parents are unrelated; in fact they were born in different states. The mother is from Wisconsin, and the father is from Pennsylvania.
Both parents have excellent temperaments. The mother even allowed me to handle the newborn babies. They are not particularly aggressive toward other hamsters. Neither has shown any symptoms of diabetes or other health problems.
Email me for more information. Pick up only, local to Bucks county or Philadelphia, we do not ship.
